The CISF takes charge of Noida International Airport security in Jewar, deploying 120 troops ahead of its inauguration, alongside police and private firms.

The CISF has now been given responsibility for the security of Noida International Airport in Jewar. A total of 120 troops have been deployed in advance of the inauguration, with more to follow. The state police, private security firms, and the CISF will all be part of the different security perimeters.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officially assumed responsibility for the airport’s security on Monday, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s October 30 inauguration of Noida International Airport.

As passenger volume and security requirements increase, the current deployment of CISF personnel is anticipated to increase to 1,047. Rakesh Kumar Singh, CEO of Noida International Airport Ltd (NIAL) and Yamuna Authority, gave the airport’s key to Praveen Ranjan, Special DG (Airport), CISF.

Ranjan also gave the CISF’s Quick Response Team (QRT) a Marksman armored SUV equipped with a satellite communication system as part of the deployment. He promised that the aviation security organization will work with regional law enforcement to provide top-notch safety for travelers, personnel, and vital infrastructure.

The first tier of security, which includes the runway, terminal, entrance gates, passenger screening, and QRT operations, will be supervised by the CISF Aviation Security Group (ASG) and Airport Sector (APS).

State police will be in charge of the third tier, while private security would oversee the second. Additionally, security measures will be in accordance with the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

At the moment, CISF protects 70 airports around the country. The early deployment at Noida International Airport, according to officials, will enable staff members to become acquainted with the facilities before operations start.

According to YIAPL COO Kiran Jain, passengers will be guaranteed a world-class, seamless, and safe travel experience with CISF present. The takeover event was attended by senior officials, such as NIAL CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh, IG Airport Senthil Avoodai Krishna R, and Nodal Officer Shailendra Bhatia.
