Under this initiative, beneficiaries receive comprehensive health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh annually. Currently, its benefits are being availed by 60 lakh teachers, non-teaching staff, and dependent family members associated with basic and secondary education in the state.
Furthermore, more than 7.50 lakh teachers from state and private universities under the Higher Education Department, aided colleges, and self-financed colleges, along with their dependent family members, have also been brought within its ambit. Very soon, more than 2.50 lakh non-teaching staff and their dependent family members will also benefit from this scheme.
