Chandigarh: The Mann government is taking significant steps to promote women entrepreneurship in Punjab by linking women to the dairy products business. Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Sond shared details of this initiative during the Women Entrepreneurs’ Felicitation Event, emphasizing the government’s commitment to making women self-reliant.
Dairy Business Scheme for Women
Under this initiative, the Mann government has arranged for 7,000 mothers and sisters across Punjab to purchase buffaloes and cows at 0% interest rates. Minister Tarunpreet Sond explained that repayments can be adjusted according to household expenses, ensuring that women can sustainably manage their dairy business while balancing domestic responsibilities.
