Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains invites Takht Sahib Jathedar to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th martyrdom celebrations at Anandpur Sahib in Nov 2025.
Following a visit to Giani Kulwant Singh Ji, the Takht Sahib’s Jathedar, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and Advisor Deepak Bali of the Tourism & Cultural Affairs department paid respects at the Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded, Maharashtra.
With the highest respect, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains formally invited the Jathedar to attend Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s 350th Martyrdom Day festivities during the meeting. Sri Anandpur Sahib will host the historic commemorative celebrations from November 23 to November 25, 2025.

In recognition of Harjot Singh Bains’ modest visit, the Takht Sahib’s management gave him a Siropa (robe of honor) and ceremoniously tied a Dastar (turban) as a sign of respect.
“To stand on this pious land where Dasmesh Pita Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji walked is a blessing in itself,” said Harjot Singh Bains, who was overcome with honor and devotion. It is a deeply moving and humble experience to be honored here, in the same Takht where my own Dastar Bandi was played. Connecting my own path with my obligation to participate in the remembrance ceremonies of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s supreme sacrifice feels like a heavenly circle. This is a sincere plea from Punjab’s spirit to the Takht Sahib’s Jathedar, not just an invitation.
More than 1 crore Sangat from all over the world are anticipated to attend the 350th Martyrdom Day rituals of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib ji at Sri Anandpur Sahib, Harjot Singh Bains informed Giani Kulwant Singh ji. Over 11,000 devotees will be housed in a Tent City called “Chakk Nanki” in the sacred city every day from November 19 to 30 in order to handle the influx of worshippers. On November 23, the Akand Path Sahib will take place at 10 a.m., followed by the Sarb Dharam Sammelan, an exhibition at Virasat-e-Khalsa, the first-ever drone display that will portray the life and ultimate sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib at 5 p.m., and a Kirtan Darbar at 6 p.m. “Shahaadat di Lo” will mark the end of the day, when torches (Mashals) will be lit to illumine the holy city. Nagar Kirtan ‘Sis Bhet’ will begin on November 24 and go from Sri Kiratpur Sahib to Sri Anandpur Sahib. To commemorate the momentous event, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha will convene a special session at Sri Anandpur Sahib’s Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial for the first time ever. Renowned Kirtanyeas will perform hymns from the 9th Guru Sahib after the Bhog of Akhand Path Sahib on November 25.

He added that the Punjab government will commemorate Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s 350th martyrdom day in a great manner to honor the Guru’s lasting legacy of selflessness, faith defense, righteousness, inclusion, and human rights advocacy.
