The Punjab tax evasion crackdown has intensified as the Mann Government launched strict enforcement action against traders involved in fraudulent billing practices. In a major operation conducted in the Loh Garh Mandi Gobindgarh and Khanna regions, teams seized goods worth nearly ₹7 crore that were being sold and purchased through fake invoices involving more than 200 vehicles.

The government stated that such strict measures are necessary to plug loopholes that allow illegal trade practices to flourish, ultimately affecting honest taxpayers and state revenue.
Government’s Firm Stand Against Tax Fraud
Reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy, officials emphasized that the Punjab tax evasion crackdown will continue with increased monitoring, surprise inspections, and digital tracking of commercial transactions.
