The Punjab Government has taken a major step towards strengthening the Punjab Startup Ecosystem with the launch of two flagship initiatives — Punjab Investor Circle and Startup Punjab Hub – Neuron 2.0. Industries and Commerce Minister Aman Arora launched the programmes with the aim of connecting promising startups with investors and promoting deep-tech innovation across the state.
The launch event was organised by Startup Punjab at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, where 14 startups from sectors including Information Technology, Healthcare, Agritech, Manufacturing, and Deep Technology presented their ideas before venture capitalists, industry experts, and mentors.
Punjab Investor Circle to Bridge Startups and Investors
Addressing the gathering, Aman Arora said the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government is committed to creating an innovation-driven economy through supportive policies, incubation facilities, and investment-friendly initiatives.
He said the newly launched Punjab Investor Circle will act as a long-term platform to connect high-potential startups with investors, helping entrepreneurs access funding, strategic partnerships, and business growth opportunities.

Over 2,500 DPIIT-Recognised Startups in Punjab
Highlighting the progress of the Punjab Startup Ecosystem, Aman Arora said Punjab currently has more than 2,500 DPIIT-recognised startups. He added that Startup Punjab has already supported over 222 startups through seed funding of more than ₹6.8 crore.
The minister also pointed out that nearly half of the recognised startups have at least one woman director, showing the growing contribution of women entrepreneurs in Punjab’s startup landscape.

Startup Punjab Hub – Neuron 2.0 to Promote Deep-Tech Innovation
During the event, Aman Arora also introduced Startup Punjab Hub – Neuron 2.0, an upgraded version of the state’s technology incubation programme.
The earlier Neuron initiative successfully supported 114 technology startups, helped file 67 intellectual properties, generated around 2,700 jobs, and enabled startups to achieve a combined valuation of nearly ₹890 crore.
The upgraded Neuron 2.0 programme will include a dedicated Cybersecurity Lab and advanced skill development facilities to support emerging technology companies and encourage innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
Punjab Aims to Become Startup and Innovation Hub
The government said these initiatives will further strengthen the Punjab Startup Ecosystem by creating better opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and technology innovators.
The event concluded with networking sessions between startups, investors, and mentors, reinforcing Punjab’s vision of becoming one of India’s leading destinations for startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Senior officials including Industries and Commerce Administrative Secretary Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, Punjab Development Commission Vice Chairperson Seema Bansal, Invest Punjab CEO Amit Dhaka, and Director Jaspreet Singh were also present at the event.
