Jalandhar : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday highlighted the transformative role of the Punjab Schools of Eminence, calling them powerful catalysts that are shaping the destiny of students and giving wings to the dreams of the state’s youth. Speaking at the School of Eminence in Adampur, CM Mann described education as the most potent tool to eliminate poverty and social inequalities, stressing that his government is building world-class institutions to ensure talent from all corners of Punjab gets an opportunity to excel.
Schools of Eminence: Revolutionizing Education in Punjab
CM Mann stated that the Punjab Government’s Schools of Eminence are designed to usher in a new era of education across the state. “These hi-tech schools are equipped with ultra-modern facilities to ensure our youth excel in every field of life,” he noted. He added that these institutions are providing quality education and transforming students’ futures by nurturing their talent and skills.
The Chief Minister emphasized that education, rather than freebies or concessions, is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. “Education is the only instrument capable of pulling people out of social maladies and raising living standards,” he asserted. He added that the Punjab Government is committed to improving the standard of education to empower every citizen.

Encouraging Students to Strive for Excellence
CM Mann urged students to work hard, stay relevant, and constantly strive for excellence. “Students must become grass-rooters who rise from the ground and conquer the world through hard work. For such individuals, the sky is the limit,” he said. He contrasted this with “parachuters” who descend from the sky and eventually fall back to the ground.
He also advised students to remain humble despite achievements, saying, “Do not feel proud of your success. Stay humble and continue working hard for greater accomplishments.” CM Mann underscored that hard work is the sole key to success and that students should use the platform provided by the Punjab Schools of Eminence to achieve not only professional success but also personal growth.
Drawing Inspiration from Global Examples
Citing examples from around the world, CM Mann reminded students that individuals from humble backgrounds have achieved extraordinary success through perseverance. He encouraged students to draw inspiration from such examples and prove their mettle globally. Using the analogy of a garden, he said that diversity and collective effort, like a bouquet of flowers, make society stronger.

Punjab’s Legacy and Opportunities
The Chief Minister highlighted Punjab’s historic legacy, noting that the state is not only the nation’s food bowl but also its sword arm. He praised the people of Punjab for their courage, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit. CM Mann urged students to create their own identity, leave a meaningful mark on society, and take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the state.
Comparing the government to an airport runway, CM Mann said, “Just like a runway enables airplanes to take off smoothly, the Punjab Government is helping our youth realize their dreams.” He assured that every effort is being made to give wings to the aspirations of young minds and ensure they achieve their full potential.
The Chief Minister concluded by extending his best wishes to students for a bright and prosperous future and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting them in every possible way.
