Chandigarh: The Punjab State Scheduled Castes ( SC Commission ), under the leadership of Chairman Jasveer Singh Garhi, will convene a special meeting on February 23, 2026 (Monday) to address the concerns and challenges faced by Scheduled Caste employees’ unions across the state.
The meeting aims to provide a platform for SC employees’ unions to voice issues related to the effective implementation of their constitutional rights and to discuss difficulties encountered in the workplace. It will take place at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh.
Punjab SC Commission Outlines Participant Verification Process
According to officials, two representatives from each Scheduled Caste employees’ union in Punjab will be allowed to attend the meeting. Participants will be required to submit an authorization letter, identity card, or other relevant documents at the entry gate of Punjab Bhawan for verification.
The Commission has called the meeting as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure the welfare and fair treatment of Scheduled Caste employees in government services, aiming to address their grievances through constructive dialogue and actionable solutions.
