Punjab Police stop a targeted killing as CI Bathinda arrests 3 Arsh Dalla gang members with 4 illegal pistols and live rounds.

Director General of Punjab Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav stated  that Counter Intelligence (CI) Bathinda in collaboration with Bathinda Police has prevented a targeted killing by apprehending three suspects connected to the Arsh Dalla gang and recovering four illicit handguns, four magazines, and 26 live rounds.

Kuldeep Singh, a native of Gill Patti in Bathinda who is currently living in Canada; Gurwinder Singh, a resident of Kotshamir in Bathinda; and Gagandeep Singh, a resident of the hamlet Bhokhra in Bathinda, are the people who were detained. One Glock, one Zigana, one.30 bore, and one.32 bore are among the handguns that were found. Police teams have seized a Hyundai Verna vehicle without a registration number in addition to finding four firearms.

According to DGP, an initial investigation has shown that the detained suspects were preparing to carry out a targeted murder. He claimed that one of the detained suspects, Kuldeep Singh, had just traveled to Bathinda from Canada with the express purpose of carrying out the scheduled shooting.

According to SSP Bathinda Amneet Kondal, the suspects revealed their involvement in a continuing inter-gang feud during questioning. She stated that a FIR has been filed at Bathinda’s Police Station Thermal and that additional research is being done to find forward and backward connections.

AIG CI Bathinda Avneet Kaur Sidhu provided operational specifics, stating that CI Bathinda had obtained specific information from trustworthy sources indicating that gunmen connected to the Arsh Dalla gang are in possession of illicit weapons and had planned a targeted homicide. She added that a team from CI Bathinda and District Police Bathinda acted quickly on the information, laying Naka at Sucha Singh Nagar on Goniana Road and apprehending those involved.

In this regard, Police Station Thermal in Bathinda has filed a case under sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act (FIR No. 3, dated 05.01.2026).
