Punjab Police arrest 65 drug smugglers in 223 raids on 310th day of CM Mann’s anti-drug campaign, seizing heroin, tablets, and cash.

In keeping with CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign to eradicate the drug problem from the state for the 310th day in a row, Punjab Police conducted raids at 223 locations on Monday, resulting in the arrest of 65 drug smugglers after 54 first information reports (FIRs) were registered throughout the state. As a result, in 310 days, 43,326 narcotics smugglers have been caught overall.

During the raids, 657 grams of heroin, 440 intoxicant tablets and capsules, and Rs 2630 in drug money were found in the possession of drug smugglers who had been detained.

Under the direction of 48 gazetted officers, more than 100 police teams with more than 700 police officers have carried out 223 raids around the state. Over the course of the day-long operation, police officers have also checked up to 242 questionable individuals.

In order to eradicate narcotics from the state, the state government has implemented a three-pronged policy called Enforcement, Deaddiction, and Prevention (EDP). Today, the Punjab Police, as part of “De-addiction,” persuaded 22 people to receive rehabilitation and de-addiction treatment.
