Amritsar, Punjab: Punjab Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak distributed registry deeds to residents of Khajoorki Chak village who were living in “red line” areas, marking a major step under the government’s housing regularization initiative.
The distribution is part of the broader “My Home in My Name scheme, aimed at providing legal ownership rights to long-time residents and ensuring secure housing documentation for families who had been awaiting property rights for years.
Registry Deeds Distributed to Eligible Residents
Under the My Home in My Name scheme, the minister handed over registry deeds to beneficiaries living in red line-affected areas. Officials said this move formally recognizes their ownership rights and brings long-awaited legal security to their homes.
