CM Bhagwant Mann launches nationwide blood and plantation drive at Virasat-e-Khalsa to honour Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th martyrdom and promote charity.
To commemorate Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s 350th martyrdom day, the state government planned a nationwide blood & plantation drive camps at Virasat-e-Khalsa, which Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann started on Tuesday.
In addition to maintaining ecological balance through tree planting, the Chief Minister stated that this plantation effort is the finest way to honor the great Guru Sahibans who delivered the timeless word, “Pawan Guru Pani Pita Mata Dharat Mahat,” to protect the environment. He claimed that by increasing the amount of green space in the area, the state government is encouraging residents to plant more trees in order to make Punjab cleaner, greener, and pollution-free. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, trees are essential for protecting natural resources and enhancing the environment. He also stated that it is past time for the public to step up and work with the government to plant saplings and properly care for them in order to increase the district’s green cover.

Additionally, the Chief Minister encouraged everyone to support the admirable cause by administering the organ donation pledge to the public and employees of the health department. He stated that the goal of this program is to spread the virtues of charity and selflessness, which the Ninth Guru Sahib ji embodies. In addition to inspiring individuals to come forward for the admirable cause, Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed optimism that this campaign will raise awareness of the significance of blood and organ donation.
In the meantime, the Chief Minister stated that giving blood is the greatest contribution a person can make to society since it has the potential to save many valuable lives. He said everyone should understand that every blood donor was a hero and that they should give blood on a regular basis every three months. Additionally, Bhagwant Singh Mann spoke with the blood donors and praised them for their enormous contribution to society.
