Harjot Singh Bains on Friday inaugurated a state-of-the-art Press Lounge at the Punjab Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh. The facility, revamped after two decades, aims to provide journalists with a modern, well-equipped workspace that fosters collaboration and ensures access to the latest technology and resources.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by key officials including the OSD (Media) to the Chief Minister, Adil Azmi, Secretary IPR, Malwinder Singh Jaggi, Director IPR, Vimal Setia, and President of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Press Gallery Committee, Ashwani Chawla, among others. Senior journalists from across Punjab were also present to witness the unveiling of this cutting-edge facility.

The newly inaugurated Press Lounge is situated on the second floor of the Punjab Civil Secretariat. The renovation, undertaken with the efforts of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Press Gallery Committee, has transformed the space into a highly functional, tech-enabled environment where journalists can work more efficiently.
