Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema assures veterinary students their demands will be addressed within 15 days, ensuring timely government action.

Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema told the Veterinary Students Union in Ludhiana that their valid requests will be met within 15 days. The guarantee was offered during a meeting at the Finance Minister’s office, where the union expressed its grievances and demands.

The meeting, attended by Sarvjit Singh, Special Chief Secretary, Sports and Youth Services, Rahul Bhandari, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries, Showkat Ahmad Parray, Special Secretary of Finance, and Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, was a significant step toward addressing veterinary students’ concerns.

The Veterinary Students Union, led by President Dr. Avneet Jassal, Vice President Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, and Core Committee Members Dr. Sunil Momi and Dr. Muskan Thakur, presented its case to the Finance Minister. Following careful analysis, Finance Minister Cheema asked the relevant officials to rectify the critical issues within the next ten days.

The Finance Minister promised the union that activity on their demands is already beginning and will be completed shortly. He emphasized the government’s commitment to assisting the student community and addressing their problems in a timely fashion.
