Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann criticizes Congress leader Raja Warring for “shameful” behavior and anti-Sikh remarks, calling him mentally unfit for politics.

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, attacked Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring harshly  for his “shameful” behavior and frequent “controversial” remarks.

“I have thirty-two teeth, and sometimes my words come true,” CM Mann jeered at Warring. Upon the formation of our government in 2022, these congressional leaders were unable to comprehend the mandate of the people and started making unfounded accusations against us. I stated that if they continue at this pace, they will be insane by 2026. Considering Raja Warring today, it appears that the prediction came true. He acts in a manner that no person of sound mind would.

The Chief Minister claimed that in addition to Raja Warring’s recent acts of “mocking” Sikh Kakars and the community’s religious emotions, they also reveal the Congress’s ingrained “anti-Sikh” mentality.

“The Congress leadership has always treated the Sikh faith and Sikh identity with complete contempt. In a statement released here, CM Mann said, “Raja Warring has once again demonstrated that the Congress has neither learned from its past nor changed its ways, and their actions continue to hurt the sentiments of millions.”

“It now seems that we have more responsibilities ahead of us; we might have to construct government mental hospitals for such leaders, as their anger and hatred have gone beyond all bounds,” he added. Rather than engaging in constructive politics, they are spreading hate and disparaging communities.

“The Congress leadership is busy engaging in personal attacks and theatrics, while the Aam Aadmi Party government is focused on providing clean governance, development, and welfare schemes for the people of Punjab,” stated Chief Minister Mann.

When the State Scheduled Castes Commission summoned Raja Warring last week for allegedly uttering casteist remarks against former Union Home Minister Buta Singh, he did not show up, claiming he was too busy with the November 11 Tarn Taran Assembly by-elections.

Police charged Raja Warring with making the comments in accordance with the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act of 1989 and the applicable Sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) of 2023.
