Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Draws Major Korean Investors at High-Impact Seoul Roadshow

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s Seoul roadshow drew top Korean investors, showcasing Punjab as a secure, fast-growing and industry-friendly destination.

High-impact investment roadshow conducted by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on the final day of his South Korea visit attracted extensive participation from prominent industrial leaders, who expressed strong interest in investing in the state.

Addressing the distinguished group of business leaders, the Chief Minister emphasized Punjab’s evolution into a secure, transparent, and forward-looking destination for investment. He stated that Punjab’s strong industrial ecosystem, dependable and cost-effective power supply, harmonious labor relations, and a skilled, resilient, and diligent workforce—along with efficient connectivity to key markets—render it one of the most attractive investment destinations. Bhagwant Singh Mann reaffirmed that Punjab’s governance framework prioritizes the investor, guaranteeing predictability, efficiency, and comprehensive support throughout the entire business lifecycle.

The Chief Minister underscored Punjab’s strategic vision to establish technology-oriented, innovation-driven, and mutually advantageous collaborations with South Korea in key sectors. He reaffirmed the Punjab government’s dedication to attracting South Korean companies, fostering innovation-driven industrial growth, and establishing enduring, mutually advantageous partnerships. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that there exists significant potential for collaboration across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, technology, food processing, and research.

Sharing his vision, the Chief Minister stated that the state government is dedicated to fostering a future of collective prosperity through robust economic and cultural connections. He stated that Punjab is a region renowned for its valor, resilience, diligent effort, entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and a robust sense of community. He further emphasized that the state has consistently played a significant role in India’s development, particularly in making the country self-sufficient in food production. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that today Punjab is advancing with a renewed vision to establish itself as a premier hub for modern industry, technology, and international cooperation.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the state’s governance and regulatory reforms, including the FastTrack Punjab single-window system providing 173 services, auto-deemed approvals, PAN-based business identifiers, and amendments to the Punjab Right to Business Act facilitating time-bound in-principle approvals. He further emphasized Punjab’s industrial infrastructure, noting that over Rs 1.4 lakh crore in on-ground investments have already been facilitated through Invest Punjab. Meanwhile, Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that his vision is straightforward and focused on transforming Punjab into an attractive hub for international industry by ensuring policy stability, expediting decision-making processes, and establishing a governance framework that values the time and confidence of investors.

The Chief Minister stated that Punjab’s strategy is founded on collaboration and close engagement with the industry, emphasizing the importance of understanding their requirements and ensuring that the government functions as a catalyst for growth. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that Punjab has enhanced its infrastructure, increased its industrial capacity, and created new opportunities for investment. He stated that collaboration between government and industry is essential for success, and the state government strongly believes that industrial development can only be realized through a partnership of equals.

The Chief Minister invited investors to participate in the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit, scheduled to take place from March 13 to 15, 2026, at the ISB Mohali campus. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that the summit will highlight Punjab’s advancements, convene prominent industrial stakeholders, and introduce new avenues for partnership and collaboration. He reaffirmed that the Punjab Government is completely committed to promoting industrial development within the state, ensuring that no effort will be spared.

Meanwhile, encouraged by the red carpet rolled out by the Chief Minister, the South Korean companies demonstrated a strong interest in investing in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann envisioned that these investments would not only generate employment opportunities for the youth but also significantly contribute to the acceleration of the state’s economic development. He also pledged comprehensive support and collaboration to South Korean investors from the state government across all sectors, emphasizing that it is imperative to accelerate industrial development within the state.

The Chief Minister stated that this high-profile Investment Road Show in Seoul is a component of its international outreach efforts to establish stronger economic partnerships with South Korea and to attract premium investments into the state. He stated that the event experienced robust participation from corporate executives, financial advisors, research and development organizations, trade associations, and members of the Indian and Punjabi Diaspora in Korea. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that the road show drew the participation of senior representatives from a diverse array of Korean and international organizations, including Bloomberg, BRICS India Trade Pvt. Ltd., prominent legal firms Kim & Chang and Shin & Kim LLC, the Korean Association of Senior Scientists and Engineers, KOTRA, Daeyoung Corp., Gawon International Co. Ltd., TagHive, the Punjabi Association of Korea, Inmac Global, among others.

The Chief Minister stated that their involvement reflected a robust institutional commitment to investigating business prospects, forming partnerships, and fostering deeper engagement with Punjab. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that the Seoul Roadshow represented a significant milestone in Punjab’s international engagement and enhanced the state’s reputation as a reliable, forward-looking destination for global investors.
