The Punjab government has received appreciation from ruling party leaders after the passage of a key legislative proposal in the Assembly, with MLA Baljinder Kaur praising Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for addressing sentiments related to religious respect and harmony.
She said that the Punjab Anti Sacrilege Amendment Bill reflects the government’s commitment to protecting sacred values and maintaining peace, unity, and brotherhood in the state.
Highlighting the importance of the legislation, Baljinder Kaur stated that the Punjab Anti Sacrilege Amendment Bill strengthens legal provisions related to incidents of sacrilege and ensures strict action against those responsible.
