Punjab DIPR Bids Farewell to ND Sharma After Nearly Three Decades of Service

ND Sharma, former Hindi translator and editor of Hindi Jagriti magazine, retires after decades of service documenting government events and preserving Punjab’s cultural heritage.

Chandigarh: The Information and Public Relations Department (DIPR), Punjab today bid a warm farewell to ND Sharma, who retired after an illustrious career spanning nearly three decades.

ND Sharma began his journey with the department in 1998 as a Hindi translator and, through his dedication, linguistic expertise, and commitment, rose to several key positions, culminating in his role as Public Relations Officer and Hindi Desk Incharge.

ND Sharma also served as editor of Hindi Jagriti magazine, highlighting his editorial skills and contributions to promoting Hindi. During his tenure, Sharma played a crucial role in documenting high-profile government events as well as preserving the cultural heritage of Punjab.

A brief retirement ceremony was organized in his honor, attended by Additional Director Randeep Singh Ahluwalia, Joint Directors Ishwinder Singh Grewal, Preet Kanwal Singh, Manvinder Singh, and Deputy Directors Navdeep Singh Gill and Narinderpal Singh Jagdeo. The DIPR team extended their heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Sharma on his superannuation, recognizing his remarkable contributions to the department.
