More than 450 aspiring cricketers entered the official player auction pool. Consequently, this massive initiative grants grassroots athletes direct access to professional competition. The Sher-e-Punjab T20 League features six distinct city franchises representing Amritsar, Fazilka, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, and Bathinda. Each team brings together international stars, First-Class domestic players, and junior state talents under a unified franchise framework.

Organized closely with the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League operates under a structured financial model. Each franchise works with a total salary purse of ₹45 lakh to build a 20-player squad.
Furthermore, base prices protect younger players across tier levels. Icon players carry a base price of ₹1.50 lakh, while senior state players start at ₹1 lakh. Meanwhile, Under-23 players hold a base price of ₹75,000, Under-19 talent starts at ₹50,000, and district-level entrants begin at ₹20,000.
