AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang says the Winter Session is vital for raising SIR concerns and restoring transparency in key democratic institutions.
Malvinder Singh Kang, a member of parliament for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from Anandpur Sahib, stressed today how crucial the current Winter Session of Parliament is to tackling urgent national issues.
Speaking to the media prior to the session’s proceedings, MP Kang emphasized the importance of accountability and openness, especially with regard to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which he characterized as a significant problem undermining public confidence in important institutions.

“The Parliament’s Winter Session is crucial. The opposition is dedicated to effectively bringing up the SIR, which is a significant issue in the nation,” MP Kang said. “The Election Commission’s legitimacy is continuously being diminished. As a result, we demand that transparency be upheld and that the democratic process not be compromised,” Kang stated.
In response to recent comments made by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, MP Kang emphasized the role of the ruling party in promoting constructive parliamentary debate. “The ruling side has the primary responsibility to run the parliamentary session smoothly,” he said. However, we saw that the ruling party made no big attempts during the Monsoon Session, leaving a lot of work unfinished. We hope that this session will focus on people’s concerns and look into methods to protect our nation’s constitutional institutions.”
