Gaurav Yadav said the Chief Minister is personally monitoring the case and is being regularly briefed on the progress of the investigation. According to police, Satwinderpal Singh alias Lucky Oberoi was shot by unidentified assailants riding a white Activa scooter on Friday morning at the Gurudwara Singh Sabha parking area in Model Town, Jalandhar, shortly after he paid obeisance. The victim later succumbed to his injuries.

The DGP Gaurav Yadav said the probe is being carried out in a professional and scientific manner. He added that investigators are closely examining both forward and backward movements of the suspects and have collected mobile tower dump data to strengthen the investigation through technical analysis. “All possible angles are being thoroughly examined,” he said.

Providing further details, CP Dhanpreet Kaur said preliminary findings indicate that the two accused, wearing black hoodies, fled the scene on their Activa scooter. She said investigations are continuing and police teams are actively pursuing leads.
