Lehragaga is set for a major transformation in the field of medical education and healthcare with the announcement of a new Lehragaga Medical College. Punjab Cabinet Minister Balbir Singh shared this important update during a press conference held at the government hospital in Lehragaga.

According to the announcement made by the minister, the Lehragaga Medical College will be established at the site of Baba Hira Singh Bhattal Polytechnic College. The existing institution will be repurposed to develop a full-fledged medical education facility, marking a significant step toward strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the region.

The government has also confirmed that the land will be allotted on a 66-year lease, ensuring long-term stability for the development of the Lehragaga Medical College. Officials believe this move will not only improve access to medical education but also open new avenues for economic growth and local investment.

Lehragaga Medical College to Bring MBBS Education Closer to Home for Local Students

Once operational, the Lehragaga Medical College will enable students from the region to pursue MBBS studies closer to home, reducing dependency on distant institutions.
