Punjab Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan reviews arrangements for Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Martyrdom event; special Assembly session set for Nov 24.

Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan said during a meeting with the Group of Ministers and senior officials at Virasat-e-Khalsa that the temporary building being built to mark the 350th anniversary of the Ninth Guru’s martyrdom, Hind Di Chadar Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, will be finished by November 20.

The Speaker stated that the Punjab Government has envisioned this special session of the Punjab Assembly, which is devoted to the ultimate sacrifice made by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, with the intention of disseminating the Guru’s noble doctrine throughout the world.

He remembered how Bhai Jaita Ji carried Guru Sahib’s holy head to Gurdwara Bibangarh Sahib (Kiratpur Sahib) following his martyrdom in Delhi. It was then taken to Sri Anandpur Sahib by Bhai Jaita Ji, Mata Gujri Ji, and “Bal Guru Gobind Ji,” where the cremation was carried out. Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib is the current name of the location.

A Nagar Kirtan will start at Gurdwara Bibangarh Sahib (Kiratpur Sahib) on November 24, according to Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains. Ministers and Members of the Legislature will greet the procession at several locations. When it arrives to Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha’s special session will officially start.

In order for Cabinet Ministers and MLAs to arrive in Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 23 with their families and take part in the religious ceremonies with fervor, special arrangements have been prepared for them to stay at Bhai Sati Das Pandal, according to Cabinet Minister S. Tarunpreet Singh Sond.

“Separate transport and logistical arrangements are being made for MLAs who wish to attend the session directly,” he continued, “to ensure smooth participation without traffic or other difficulties.”

In recognition of Guru Sahib’s tremendous sacrifice, Cabinet Ministers and MLAs would join the sangat (devotees) in the memorial ceremonies as modest sevadars (volunteers), according to advisor to the Tourism Department Shri Deepak Bali. He added that a unique feature that is anticipated to enthrall all devotees would be a spectacular drone display that will be organized after the Assembly session.

Following the meeting, Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, previous Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Punjab In-Charge Shri Manish Sisodia, the Group of Ministers, and Deepak Bali, the advisor for the Tourism Department, reviewed the arrangements for the Vidhan Sabha session at Bhai Jaita Ji and gave the required instructions.
