Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema attended a key event in Dirba organized under the Punjab government’s ongoing War on Drugs campaign. The initiative focuses on mobilizing public support to eliminate drug abuse and strengthen awareness at the grassroots level.
Public Appeal to Support Anti-Drug Efforts
During the event, Harpal Cheema appealed to people to actively participate in the War on Drugs campaign, stressing that community involvement is essential to make Punjab drug-free. He highlighted that the government alone cannot succeed without public cooperation.

Distribution of 30,000 Digital Ration Cards
As part of the welfare initiative linked with governance reforms, the minister distributed 30,000 digital ration cards to residents of the area. The War on Drugs campaign event also aimed to ensure that welfare benefits reach eligible families in a transparent and efficient manner.
