Punjab Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains addressed a major inauguration ceremony in Nangal, where Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched development works worth crores of rupees. The event highlighted the government’s strong commitment to accelerating Nangal Development Projects and improving infrastructure in the region.
During his address, Harjot Singh Bains announced that a world-class university will be established in Sri Anandpur Sahib in the name of Guru Tegh Bahadur. This initiative aims to boost educational opportunities and position the area as a leading academic hub, forming a key part of the broader Nangal Development Projects.
The minister also shared that the state government has already ensured canal water supply to over 5,000 acres of land, benefiting farmers and strengthening agriculture. Additionally, the supply of Sutlej River water to Nangal city will begin immediately, further reinforcing essential services as part of the Nangal Development Projects.

In Sri Kiratpur Sahib, the government plans to build a new hospital and school near Gurdwara Patalpuri Sahib, enhancing both healthcare and education facilities in the area.
Furthermore, infrastructure development is gaining pace, with multiple bridges worth ₹125 crore currently under construction. These projects aim to improve connectivity and support regional growth under the umbrella of Nangal Development Projects.
Concluding his speech, Harjot Singh Bains thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for prioritizing development in Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Kiratpur Sahib, and Nangal, reaffirming the government’s commitment to public welfare and regional progress.
