Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has announced the approval of several major infrastructure projects in the Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency, aimed at improving connectivity, easing traffic, and boosting economic growth in the region.

In a video message, Harjot Singh Bains congratulated the people of the constituency and revealed that five key bridges have been approved by the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).

“Development is sweeping across Sri Anandpur Sahib,” he said, sharing that the approved projects include the Brahmpur and Daroli Bridges, both originally built during canal construction and now being rebuilt to meet modern requirements. The Ganguwal double bridge is another strategic initiative designed to ease chronic traffic congestion, particularly during major religious festivals like Hola Mohalla and Viah Purb at Guru Ka Lahore. “This will ensure smooth passage for devotees, removing a long-standing traffic bottleneck,” Harjot Singh Bains added.

The Attari village bridge will directly connect Attari village to the national highway, eliminating long detours and supporting local economic activity. Similarly, the Bhaowal bridge is expected to generate employment and spur economic growth. The Sarsa Nangal Bridge project has already been tendered, with construction scheduled to begin around April 14.
