117 govt school students delivered impressive performances in a realistic mock Punjab Vidhan Sabha session held to mark Constitution Day and promote civic awareness.

The Punjab Legislative Assembly, which was founded here to commemorate Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th martyrdom day, held a fake session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in honor of India’s Constitution Day. Students from Punjab’s government schools took part in this practice.Up to 117 students performed their roles so accurately that, despite the fact that it was only a simulated session, it resembled a real Punjab Vidhan Sabha sitting.

Throughout the proceedings, Dhuri MLA and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s representative, Harkamaldeep Singh, a student at the School of Eminence, Ghanouri Kalan, threw jabs at the opposition with fact-based responses. On behalf of Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa, Harpreet Singh, a student at Government Adarsh Senior Secondary School in Kotdhandal, brought up a number of Punjab-related concerns and engaged in a series of verbal altercations with the Chief Minister’s aide.

Representing Kotkapura MLA and Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Jagmandar Singh, a student at the H.S.N. School of Eminence in Jaito, led the House procedures superbly and resolved disputes between the opposition and the ruling party in a serious and cordial manner. He twice adjourned the House throughout the session. Representing Sri Anandpur Sahib MLA and Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, Daljit Singh, a student at the School of Eminence in Kiratpur Sahib, emphasized the revolution in the education sector that the Punjab government has brought about.

The audience gave Gursevak Singh, a student of PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School in Harike Pattan, great marks for his portrayal of Patti MLA and Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar. Gursevak Singh eagerly and impulsively addressed every issue posed by the opposition against the government during the proceedings. He came across as an experienced lawmaker because of the way he spoke.
