Punjab Govt Approves Free Bus Travel for NEET Students and One Family Member

Punjab government approves free bus travel facility for NEET students and one family member during exam days.

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema announced that the state cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has approved a special facility for students appearing in the NEET examination. Under this decision, Free Bus Travel for NEET Students will be provided across Punjab Roadways buses on June 20, 21, and 22.

Free Travel Facility Extended to Family Members

As part of the initiative, not only students but also one accompanying family member will be allowed to travel free of cost. The Free Bus Travel for NEET Students scheme is aimed at ensuring smooth and stress-free transportation to examination centres for more than 28,000 candidates and their families.

Government’s Commitment to Student Welfare

Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said the decision reflects the Punjab government’s strong commitment to supporting students during crucial competitive examinations. The Free Bus Travel for NEET Students initiative is designed to reduce financial burden and travel-related stress for families.
