Narayanpur, Punjab: Under the ongoing Education Revolution Punjab initiative, Punjab Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak addressed a public program in Narayanpur and emphasized the transformative role of education in society. He stated that strengthening schools is the core objective of the government to ensure children achieve higher levels of success in life.
Reiterating the importance of the Education Revolution Punjab, the minister said that education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty and bring long-term social change. He added that when a child from any household studies and progresses, it directly ends the poverty of that family.
“Our goal is to improve schools so that children can soar to great heights of progress in life. When a child from a home studies and moves forward, consider that family’s poverty has been severed,” he said while addressing the gathering under the Education Revolution Punjab campaign.
Minister Emphasizes Parental Responsibility and Job-Oriented Education Under Education Revolution Punjab
Highlighting parental responsibility, Kataruchak stated that if a child secures employment after completing education, it reflects that parents have successfully fulfilled their duty towards their children. He stressed that the vision of Education Revolution Punjab is not only academic improvement but also ensuring employment-oriented education.
ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਬੱਚੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਸਕਣ। ਜਿਸ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਚਾ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ, ਸਮਝੋ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਗ਼ਰੀਬੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਗਈ। ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਲੱਗ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹੈ।

“If your child gets a job after studying, then your duty towards your children has been successfully fulfilled,” the minister added.
The Education Revolution Punjab initiative, led by the state government, focuses on upgrading government schools, improving infrastructure, introducing digital learning systems, and enhancing teaching standards. The aim is to provide equal educational opportunities to students in both rural and urban areas.
