CM Bhagwant Singh Mann launches Easy Registry, enabling district-wide property registration with 48-hour processing, online deeds, and anti-corruption measures.

Bhagwant Singh Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, introduced another ground-breaking program on Thursday called “Easy Registry” to help people all over the state.

The Chief Minister greeted everyone who came to see the start of this momentous change that aims to eradicate corruption entirely and guarantee open governance. He claimed that for many years, registering a property has been viewed as a difficult and drawn-out procedure that frequently necessitates numerous trips to Sub-Registrar offices and is fraught with corruption and delays. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, residents had to go to the Sub-Registrar office that corresponded to where their property was located, which caused additional hardship and trouble.

But according to the Chief Minister, Punjab’s property registration process has entered a new era of ease, speed, and openness thanks to the “Easy Registry” technology. He added that this is the first time any state in India has made such a step toward streamlining property registration and that the “Easy Registry” method will remove needless delays and inconveniences for citizens. Any Sub-Registrar office in a district will be allowed to register assets situated anywhere in that district under this plan, according to Bhagwant Singh Mann.

According to the Chief Minister, citizens can now draft sale deeds online or through Sewa Kendras for a little charge of Rs 500. The service is available by calling 1076 and is part of the “Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar” plan. He added that the Tehsildar would no longer be able to object needlessly to property registrations and that it would be possible to submit the essential paperwork online in as little as 48 hours. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that specified time frame of 48 hours will be given for this adding that if any objection is filed, it will instantly be referred to the concerned Deputy Commissioner, who will verify whether the objection is real or not.

The Chief Minister added that citizens will receive updates via WhatsApp regarding each step of the registration procedure and that they can file a complaint straight through WhatsApp if someone demands a bribe. According to Bhagwant Singh Mann, he is quite proud to announce that Deputy Commissioners will now be in charge of making sure that each property registration is carried out without a hitch. According to him, a support desk and a cozy waiting space have been added to the Sub-Registrar Office in Mohali for this reason.

According to the Chief Minister, prior registration was only possible at the Sub-Registrar office, which was in charge of the property. People used to be unaware of the status of their registration or any objections made, he added, but now WhatsApp alerts would notify them at every step, from the submission and acceptance of documents to the payment, objections, and final paper preparation. A 48-hour period has been set aside for voicing concerns or confirming documentation, according to Bhagwant Singh Mann, who also added that this technique will lower the exorbitant fees related to deed registration.

According to the Chief Minister, anyone can draft their own registration documents with the assistance of a Sewa Kendra or Sewa helper by using the “Draft My Deed” function. According to him, citizens won’t have to visit banks again because there won’t be a requirement to present separate transaction evidence. People will no longer have to repeatedly visit government offices to pick up their registration documents, according to Bhagwant Singh Mann.

According to the Chief Minister, they will receive confirmation via WhatsApp once the registration is finished, guaranteeing that they can pick up their deed in one visit. He claimed that in order to reduce the need for citizens to visit offices for work-related purposes, the state government is always striving to implement more reforms that are beneficial to citizens and to increase the effectiveness of Sewa Kendras and Helpline 1076. According to Bhagwant Singh, the goal of this historic milestone in administrative reforms is to greatly facilitate people’s access to services in a hassle-free and seamless manner.
