Punjab Police neutralize ISI-backed terror module in Ludhiana; CM Bhagwant Mann warns disruptors, seizes grenades, pistols, and live ammunition.

Two individuals connected to a Pakistan-based ISI outfit were shot by Punjab Police in Ludhiana earlier on Thursday during a confrontation. One is in critical condition, and both have been brought to a hospital.
Five pistols that were smuggled across the border, live ammunition, and two Chinese-made grenades were found by authorities. Three other module members had already been taken into custody.
According to Ludhiana Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma, an ISI handler headquartered in Pakistan was in charge of the terror cell and was in contact with agents via virtual numbers. Three more members had already been taken into custody: Shamsher from Ludhiana, Ajay from Haryana, and Arsh from Bihar.
When police created a trap, the two suspects involved in the incident were supposed to exchange grenades at predetermined positions. The suspects opened fire on the officers, who then retaliated.
“A terror module was being handled by Pakistan-based ISI,” Swapan Sharma told the reporters. Their handler, who is stationed in Pakistan, used to visit different places and touch various components. We have already detained three individuals based on this information: Shamsher from Ludhiana, Punjab; Ajay from Fatehabad, Haryana; and Arsh from Bhojpur, Bihar. The handler was from Pakistan’s ISI, and they used to get calls from a virtual number based in Pakistan.The handler, who is headquartered in Pakistan, had instructed these two people to trade grenades at specific locations during today’s encounter.
They opened fire on the police after a trap was prepared for them.The police used retaliatory shooting. Three bullets struck one of them, and one hit the other. One of them is critically ill, and they were sent to the hospital immediately.Five high-tech handguns that crossed the border, two Chinese-made grenades, and live ammunition have all been found.
