CM Bhagwant Mann govt empowers Punjab youth with jobs, training, entrepreneurship, and record placements under skill and defense initiatives.
The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has announced a year (2025) of notable job creation accomplishments in an effort to stop the state’s talent outflow. The department’s multifaceted approach has produced over thousands of employment opportunities, including over 59,000 permanent government jobs since April 2022, and skill development initiatives to stop the brain drain, according to Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training Minister Aman Arora.
Aman Arora reported that since April 2022, 59,702 young people have been offered permanent positions in various government departments, highlighting the department’s coordinated efforts to guarantee opportunities for the state’s youth. By facilitating employment for 48,912 candidates through 959 placement camps and putting 10,064 adolescents on the way to self-employment through loan camps in 2025, the department has actively closed the gap with the private sector.
The Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) has trained 19,619 applicants, and placements are currently taking place, the Employment Generation Minister added. Punjab has created its own skill development program called Punjab Hunar Vikas Yojna, and partnerships with tech behemoths like Microsoft, IBM, and NASSCOM are preparing young people for corporate and international roles.

Punjabi youngsters now have many options inside the boundaries of the state. According to Aman Arora, “Our data is the proof.” Not only do we offer work, but we also methodically give skill certificates, appointment letters, and encourage entrepreneurship. The young of Punjab no longer have to seek beyond themselves for development. We are creating an independent Punjab where brilliance is identified, nurtured, and kept.
PGRKAM (https://punjabrozgar.org.in/), the state’s official employment site, has revolutionized the labor market by enrolling 20,669 employers and 22,41,165 job seekers. He noted that the site sponsored 1,316 Job Melas, democratizing access to possibilities and facilitating communication between companies and individuals. Punjab’s defense training facilities have accomplished a remarkable feat by setting national standards. With 34 cadets joining the National Defence Academy (NDA) or its comparable Academies and 17 cadets commissioned as officers in the Defense Forces in 2025, the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) achieved an 82.45% NDA success rate.
At the Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, Punjab established the nation’s first state-run NDA Preparatory Wing for girls, preparing 40 young women to become commissioned officers in a landmark gender equality initiative. He added that seven lady cadets had received their officer commissions, and ten lady cadets had been chosen to attend different officer training academies. Additionally, this year, 74 female cadets passed the written CDS, AFCAT, and NDA tests. In the current fiscal year, 1236 of the 8017 adolescents trained for armed and paramilitary forces by Punjab’s C-PYTE centers were placed. The centers enable young people to serve the country by providing a structured career path.
Aman Arora emphasized the government led by Chief Minister Mann’s dedication to empowering Punjab’s youth, saying, “Every job offered, every skill imparted and every entrepreneur created is a brick in the wall that will finally stop the drain of our most precious resource—our children’s potential.” He emphasized that Punjab’s youth have a viable and aspirational future thanks to the government’s efforts to build a strong ecosystem of opportunity.
