Punjab : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated a state-of-the-art 30-bed hospital at Cheema Sahib today, accompanied by Cabinet Ministers Balbir Singh and Aman Arora. The Cheema Sahib Community Health Centre Inauguration took place at the birthplace of Sant Baba Atar Singh Ji Maharaj in Village Chima, Sunam, District Sangrur, marking a significant step in strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the region.
Constructed at a cost of ₹11.75 crore, the modern 30-bed hospital is designed to serve approximately 48,000 residents, providing them access to essential health services without any charges. The facility offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including emergency care, surgeries, maternal and child health services, laboratory tests, and other standard medical treatments.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Bhagwant Mann said, “The Cheema Sahib Community Health Centre Inauguration is a milestone in our mission to provide quality healthcare to the people of Punjab. Our government is committed to ensuring that every citizen has access to modern medical facilities close to their homes.”

He further added, “With this hospital, residents of Cheema Sahib and surrounding villages will no longer have to travel long distances for basic health services. The Cheema Sahib Community Health Centre Inauguration is a reflection of our commitment to public welfare and modern infrastructure development.”
