Punjab has further strengthened its ongoing war against drugs with a large-scale crackdown on gangster and drug networks across the state. On the 124th day of the state-level campaign, coordinated raids were conducted at 529 locations, resulting in 269 arrests and recovery of illegal weapons.
The latest phase of the war against drugs reflects the government’s continued focus on eliminating organized crime and drug trafficking from Punjab. During the operation, authorities also recovered 2 illegal weapons, indicating active enforcement against criminal networks.
War Against Drugs Records 31,699 Arrests So Far, Becomes One of Punjab’s Largest Law Enforcement Drives
So far, the war against drugs has led to a total of 31,699 arrests under the broader campaign, marking one of the most extensive law enforcement drives in the state’s history. Officials stated that intelligence-based raids and strict monitoring are helping accelerate action against offenders.

In a parallel update on the 449th day of the extended war against drugs, enforcement agencies arrested 72 drug peddlers in a single day. With these latest arrests, the total number of drug peddlers arrested has reached 65,417 so far.
