Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s vast potential in tourism, forest expansion, and wildlife conservation during meetings with Union Ministers in New Delhi. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and with Union Government support, the state is taking unprecedented steps to strengthen biodiversity and conservation efforts. Following the successful reintroduction of cheetahs at Kuno National Park, wild buffalo from Assam are set to be brought to Madhya Pradesh, expanding the state’s wildlife diversity.
Dr. Yadav met with Union Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav to discuss all necessary arrangements for transferring wild buffalo to Madhya Pradesh. He also confirmed that eight cheetahs will arrive from Botswana on February 28 as part of ongoing conservation efforts. The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for the Union Government’s support, and Minister Yadav assured full cooperation.

In a separate engagement, Dr. Yadav met Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution Prahlad Joshi to brief him on Madhya Pradesh’s “Krishak Kalyan Varsh” initiative focused on farmer welfare. The Chief Minister discussed wheat procurement and storage plans, emphasizing the government’s commitment to providing fair and remunerative prices for farmers’ produce. Minister Joshi assured complete support for smooth wheat procurement and adequate storage facilities in the state.
Through these initiatives, Dr. Yadav reiterated the Madhya Pradesh government’s focus on sustainable development, biodiversity enhancement, and strengthening support for farmers, ensuring progress across environmental, agricultural, and economic fronts.
