Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh officials conducted a detailed virtual review of JSJB 2.0 with the Honorable Union Minister of Water Resources, Shri @CRPaatil. The meeting brought together district collectors, divisional commissioners, and other senior officials to discuss the progress and future strategies of the water conservation program, focusing on public participation and efficient resource management.

JSJB 2.0: Building on Past Success

Under Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi’s leadership, JSJB 2.0 has emerged as a nationwide initiative encouraging sustainable water use. Madhya Pradesh performed remarkably in JSJB 1.0, securing fourth place at the national level, with Khandwa district achieving the top position across India. Officials are now aiming to build upon these successes through JSJB 2.0, implementing best practices and community-driven water conservation measures across the state.

State Leadership Engages in Strategy Discussion

The virtual conference was also attended by the Honorable Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Shri @prahladspatel, who highlighted the importance of grassroots involvement for JSJB 2.0. Strategies discussed included enhancing public awareness, strengthening local water management committees, and encouraging citizen participation in rainwater harvesting and revival of water bodies.

The review session reinforced the state’s commitment to creating a long-lasting water conservation culture, aligning with the national movement initiated under PM Modi’s leadership.
