Barwani (Madhya Pradesh): During the Mohan Yadav Barwani visit, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held an interactive session with progressive farmers and prominent citizens at Nagalwadi in Barwani district. The Chief Minister expressed happiness over the growing culture of rural entrepreneurship and self-reliance emerging even from smaller towns.

Farmer’s ‘Jaggery Tea’ Startup Sets Example
During the Mohan Yadav Barwani visit, advanced farmer Mahesh Patidar from Ghatwa village shared his inspiring journey. Under the PMFME (Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises) scheme, he secured a loan of ₹28 lakh, including a subsidy of ₹10 lakh, to establish his “Jaggery Tea” startup.
Today, Patidar sells nearly 500 quintals of tea packets annually, creating local employment and promoting value-added agricultural products. The Chief Minister appreciated his efforts, calling it a model for other farmers to follow.

Youth Entrepreneur Returns from US to Boost Banana Exports
Another success story highlighted during the Mohan Yadav Barwani visit was that of Amol Mahajan from Barwani district. Mahajan left his job in the United States to start a banana production venture in his hometown. His produce is now being exported to several countries, showcasing the global potential of Madhya Pradesh’s agricultural sector.
The Chief Minister said such initiatives demonstrate how local talent and global vision can combine to generate prosperity at the grassroots level.
Focus on Sports Development
Apart from agriculture and entrepreneurship, the Mohan Yadav Barwani visit also emphasized sports development in the district. The Chief Minister directed officials to provide training facilities at the State Shooting Academy to national-level air rifle shooter Vaishnavi Mahule.
He also approved a ₹5 lakh incentive for her coach Neeraj and instructed authorities to facilitate the development of an astroturf hockey facility in Barwani to encourage young athletes.
