A 25-year-old air hostess died after falling seriously ill during a weekend gathering at a Gurugram apartment, prompting a police investigation. The incident occurred at a rented flat in DLF Phase-1 during the early hours of Sunday. Police said the woman suddenly developed breathing problems while spending time with friends.
The deceased has been identified as Simran Dadwal, a resident of Mohali in Punjab. She had been working with an Indian airline for the past two years. Dadwal was living in Delhi and had travelled to Gurugram on Saturday to meet friends.
According to officials, Dadwal attended a party at the apartment on Saturday night. In the early hours of Sunday, around 5 am, her health condition reportedly worsened rapidly. Her friends rushed her to a nearby private hospital for emergency treatment.
Doctors, however, declared her dead during treatment. Hospital authorities informed the police soon after her death, following standard procedure.
Police Begin Investigation, Apartment Inspected
A police team from the DLF Phase-1 police station reached the hospital soon after receiving information. Officers later visited the apartment where the party was held to examine the scene. Initial checks were conducted to understand the sequence of events before the medical emergency.
The body was shifted to a local mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Police said the autopsy will help determine the exact cause of death. At present, no visible injury marks have been reported.
Officials said the investigation is being conducted as per protocol. All angles are being examined, including health-related factors.
Family Seeks Clarity, Post-Mortem Requested
Police confirmed that Dadwal’s parents were informed immediately after the incident. The family reached Gurugram later on Sunday. They requested a post-mortem examination to rule out any suspicious circumstances.
Family members have sought clarity on how a young and healthy professional could die suddenly. Authorities said their concerns have been noted and will be addressed through the investigation process.
Officials added that the post-mortem report will play a crucial role in establishing medical facts.
No Foul Play Alleged So Far
As of now, police said no complaint has been filed by the family or others. There are also no allegations of foul play at this stage. Consequently, no criminal case has been registered so far.
Investigators are recording the statements of Dadwal’s friends who were present at the apartment. These statements aim to reconstruct the events leading up to the health emergency.
Police said cooperation from those present has been forthcoming.
Authorities Await Autopsy Report
Senior police officials stated that further action will depend on the post-mortem findings. The autopsy will help confirm whether the death was caused by a medical condition or other factors.
Until the report is received, officials said it would be premature to draw conclusions. They added that the investigation remains open and ongoing.
The police have assured that the case will be handled transparently and professionally.
Incident Highlights Safety and Health Concerns
The sudden death of the young airline professional has raised concerns about health emergencies during social gatherings. It has also renewed discussions around emergency medical response in residential areas.
Gurugram has witnessed several similar cases involving sudden medical distress in recent years. Authorities have repeatedly urged people to seek immediate medical help at the first sign of serious symptoms.
Officials said awareness and quick response can often save lives.

The Gurugram air hostess death case remains under investigation as police await medical confirmation. Authorities stressed that all findings will be based strictly on evidence and medical reports.
For now, the focus remains on determining the cause of death and addressing the family’s concerns. The final post-mortem report is expected to provide clarity in the coming days.
