CS Anurag Rastogi Inspects Budhanpur Play School and Anganwadi Centres for Child Development

CS Anurag Rastogi inspects Budhanpur Play School and Anganwadi centres, reviewing education, nutrition, and facilities for children.

Haryana CS Anurag Rastogi today conducted an inspection of the Budhanpur Play School and the Anganwadi centres situated in Ramgarh and Barwala, assessing the amenities provided for children. He also engaged with the Anganwadi personnel and assistants.

The Commissioner and Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, Shekhar Vidyarthi, along with the Department’s Director, Dr. Priyanka Soni, were also in attendance on the occasion.

The Chief Secretary conducted an inspection of Bal Vatika-1, designated for children aged three to four years, and Bal Vatika-2, for children aged four to five years, at Budhanpur Play School, and obtained comprehensive information regarding the children’s education, nutrition, and recreational activities. He was informed that children receive education through play-based learning. A range of daily activities centered on language acquisition, social interaction, cultural understanding, creativity, and intellectual growth are carried out to promote their comprehensive development. Nutritious meals are also supplied to children to promote their health and well-being.

During the visit, the Chief Secretary also inspected Bal Vatika-3 and the Anganwadi center serving students of Classes 5 and 6, and engaged with the children. The children were pleased to have the Chief Secretary present among them and even recited poetry.

Subsequently, Anurag Rastogi conducted inspections of the Anganwadi centers at Ramgarh and Barwala and assessed the primary and additional facilities provided at these locations. While engaging with the Anganwadi workers and assistants, he stated that in addition to caring for children, they should also evaluate their talents and support gifted children in advancing further in accordance with their interests. The Chief Secretary was also informed that data regarding the establishment of Anganwadi centres, children’s activities, and nutrition is published onto the ‘Poshan Tracker’ application, which can be accessed via dashboards at the state, district, and block levels.
