CM Nayab Saini Approves ₹988 Crore Budget to Boost Faridabad Urban Development

Faridabad Urban Development Receives ₹988 Crore Budget for Modern Infrastructure, Green Spaces, and Civic Improvements

Faridabad, Haryana – In the 7th meeting of the Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA), chaired by Chief Minister Shri Nayab Saini, a budget of ₹988 crore for the financial year 2026–27 was approved to accelerate Faridabad Urban Development. The approval marks a major step in transforming Faridabad into a modern, sustainable, and citizen-friendly city.

The meeting sanctioned several key projects aimed at improving sewerage systems, water supply networks, rainwater drainage, road infrastructure, and urban greening initiatives. Officials emphasized the importance of upgrading Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) in Pratapgarh, Mirzapur, and Badshahpur, along with the construction of a new STP in Surajkund. Additionally, a master drainage plan, development of model roads, and expansion of green belts were prioritized under the Faridabad Urban Development plan.

Faridabad Urban Development: Enhancing Infrastructure and Public Services Under CM Saini

CM Saini highlighted, “The approved budget and these projects reflect our commitment to modernizing Faridabad and ensuring sustainable urban growth. Our focus on Faridabad Urban Development is designed to enhance infrastructure, improve public services, and create a greener and cleaner city for residents.”

Experts believe that these initiatives under Faridabad Urban Development will significantly improve the quality of life in the city by ensuring efficient water management, upgraded sewage treatment, better road networks, and expanded green spaces. Such comprehensive urban planning is expected to attract investments, boost economic activity, and strengthen Faridabad’s position as a leading smart city in Haryana.

CM Saini concluded, “With the ₹988 crore budget and our detailed urban development plans, Faridabad is set to become a model city. These Faridabad Urban Development initiatives will ensure long-term growth, sustainability, and prosperity for all residents.”
