Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini calls first 2026 cabinet meeting; work plan, budget prep, and key appointments including Vijay Singh Dahiya discussed.
On January 1, the first day of 2026, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has called a meeting of the state cabinet.
The Haryana Secretariat will host a cabinet meeting at 11 a.m.; the agenda has not yet been finalized.
On this day, the government will probably approve some of them in the cabinet meeting following a discussion of the work plan for the upcoming year 2026.
Administrative officers may also be directed to prepare for the 2026–2027 yearly budget during the cabinet meeting.
In his capacity as Finance Minister, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is anticipated to deliver the 2026–2027 budget around the final week of February or the first week of March. The second budget of his administration will be presented by Naib Singh Saini.

The Chief Minister is expected to meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi prior to the Cabinet meeting. Before the new year, the state BJP is also anticipated to elect a new state president.
Top BJP leaders have discussed Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini in the state president’s name. The chairman of the corporations and board will also be named shortly, BJP insiders claim.
Names for the corporations and the board chairman have been submitted by the BJP. Gradually, they will be revealed.
Vijay Singh Dahiya, a senior IAS officer, has been chosen by the Haryana government to serve on the Pay Anomaly and Grievance Redressal Committee.

Vikas Gupta has been replaced as a member of the Pay Anomaly and Grievance Redressal Committee (Pay Anomaly and Redressal Committee) by Vijay Singh Dahiya, the Commissioner and Secretary of the Printing and Writing Materials Department. The national government has taken over Vikas Gupta’s services.
Vikas Gupta has been named the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Commissioner. Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has sent out a notification about Vijay Singh Dahiya’s appointment.
