SURENDRANAGAR, Gujarat – In a detailed press conference, AAP leader Pravin Ram spoke about the ongoing “Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra”, a campaign aimed at addressing the pressing issues faced by Gujarat’s farmers. The yatra, which began with a visit to the revered Somnath Mahadev, has now reached Surendranagar, engaging with thousands of farmers and collecting firsthand information about their hardships.

During the press conference, Pravin Ram highlighted several critical points:

The problems faced by Gujarat’s farmers are immense and multifaceted.

The government has failed to take adequate action to resolve these issues.

Despite Gujarat’s prohibition laws, alcohol is reportedly available freely, while farmers continue to suffer from a lack of basic necessities such as water.

Focus on Farmers’ Welfare and Government Accountability

According to Pravin Ram, the “Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra” is not just a symbolic journey—it is a proactive effort to ensure that the voices of farmers are heard at both state and national levels. He emphasized that the campaign has met with thousands of farmers, providing them a platform to share their grievances directly with AAP representatives.

“The farmers of Gujarat have been ignored for too long,” Pravin Ram said. “Through the Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra, we are highlighting the issues that affect their daily lives—from inadequate irrigation facilities to insufficient government support and mismanagement of resources. The yatra ensures that these concerns are brought to the forefront of public discourse.”

Key Objectives of the Yatra

The “Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra” has several important goals:

  • To draw attention to the lack of water and irrigation facilities available to farmers.
  • To demand proper action from the government regarding farmer welfare schemes and subsidies.
  • To expose systemic issues affecting rural Gujarat, including misallocation of resources.
  • To mobilize farmers and citizens alike to demand concrete policy reforms that will improve the agricultural sector.

Pravin Ram confirmed that the yatra will conclude on 8 March 2026 in Gandhinagar. The final event will be attended by AAP National Coordinator Arvind Kejriwal, who will address the rally and raise his voice for the welfare of Gujarat’s farmers. The Gandhinagar meeting is expected to be a massive gathering, further strengthening the visibility of farmers’ concerns and highlighting the significance of agricultural reforms in the state.

The press conference also shed light on the broader impact of the yatra. According to Pravin Ram, the campaign has successfully engaged both rural and urban populations in Gujarat, creating awareness about farmers’ struggles and mobilizing citizens to support solutions for sustainable agriculture.

“The Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra is more than a campaign—it is a movement for justice, accountability, and change for the farmers of Gujarat,” Pravin Ram concluded.
