AAP celebrates jailed Kisan Cell President Raju Bhai Karpad’s birthday, while Arvind Kejriwal praises his fight for farmers’ rights in Gujarat.
Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar, Gujarat: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has celebrated the birthday of its Kisan Cell President, Shri Raju Bhai Karpad, who has been in jail for over 90 days for raising his voice against injustice towards farmers in Gujarat. The party has reiterated its strong support for Karpad and farmers across the state.
As part of the celebrations, AAP leaders across Gujarat honored Karpad’s birthday, highlighting his dedication to farmers’ rights and social justice. Arvind Kejriwal, AAP National Convener and former Delhi Chief Minister, extended his greetings to Karpad, tweeting:
“Heartfelt birthday wishes to Shri Raju Bhai Karpad, who has been in jail for the past three months for raising the voice of farmers in Gujarat. May God give you strength to continue the fight for the rights of the poor and farmers. No jail can stop the voice of truth and justice.”
https://t.co/M8ApgR5Q2o

Karpad’s imprisonment follows the October incident in Haddad, Botad, where clashes occurred between police and farmers. Karpad, along with other farmer leaders such as Praveen Ram, was arrested for protesting against the Karda practice, which the AAP claims is exploitative toward farmers.

AAP has condemned the arrests, describing them as politically motivated and aimed at silencing voices advocating for farmers’ welfare. The party has also highlighted Karpad’s dedication to grassroots activism and his unwavering commitment to justice for farmers in Gujarat.
The birthday celebrations across Gujarat are being viewed by AAP as a demonstration of solidarity with imprisoned leaders and a reaffirmation of their ongoing commitment to farmers’ rights, transparency, and social justice.
