AAP Gujarat Claims Coordinated Effort by BJP and Congress : Gopal Italia

AAP Gujarat leader claims both parties are working together to block his party’s growing influence in the state

In a strong political statement, Gopal Italia, a prominent leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, has accused both the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress of working together in Gujarat to prevent the rise of AAP Gujarat in the state’s political landscape.

Italia claimed that recent statements by leaders from both parties validate his allegations. Referring to a BJP MLA’s remark, he said, “When Congress couldn’t find candidates, BJP provided candidates,” suggesting a tacit understanding between the two rival parties. According to him, such statements expose a deeper political arrangement aimed at weakening AAP Gujarat’s growing influence.

Congress MLA Remark Raises Questions Over AAP Gujarat Opposition

He further pointed to an earlier comment made by a Congress MLA, who reportedly urged voters to “vote for BJP, but not for Aam Aadmi Party.” Italia argued that such appeals raise serious questions about the intent of Congress leaders and reinforce concerns that both BJP and Congress are attempting to sideline AAP Gujarat.

Highlighting past electoral developments, Italia mentioned the constituency of Visavadar, where he alleged similar political tactics were used. However, he claimed that voters in Visavadar rejected these efforts and delivered a strong message through the ballot. He expressed confidence that the people of Gujarat will once again respond decisively against both parties.

Despite being relatively new in the state, Italia emphasized that AAP Gujarat is mounting a strong challenge against the BJP. He questioned why the Congress, despite its long-standing presence in Gujarat politics, has failed to effectively counter the BJP, allowing it to win uncontested seats in several regions.

Italia concluded by asserting that AAP Gujarat represents a fresh alternative in the state and that the party will continue to fight against what he described as a “political alliance of convenience” between BJP and Congress.
