Ahmedabad/Surat, Gujarat – The AAP Gujarat election battle has intensified as AAP Gujarat state secretary Manoj Sorathia accused BJP leaders and the state administration of using police to intimidate opposition candidates ahead of the ongoing local elections. Sorathia condemned the alleged harassment of citizens and leaders, calling it a misuse of power.
Speaking via video, Sorathia stated that BJP’s increasing atrocities in Gujarat are well-known to the public. He highlighted a recent incident where police allegedly mistreated the mother of MLA Gopalbhai Italia, followed by the BJP IT cell creating an AI-generated audio targeting opposition leaders. According to Sorathia, such actions are part of the AAP Gujarat election battle to resist BJP intimidation.

AAP Gujarat Election Battle Intensifies as Candidates Face Harassment Across State
Sorathia further revealed that multiple AAP candidates have faced harassment across Gujarat, including false FIRs, detentions, and fabricated complaints in Rajkot, Garhda, and Kamrej. “The BJP is contesting elections disguised as police. They are preventing AAP candidates from standing for elections,” he said.
“The AAP Gujarat election battle is not just about party leaders; it is about raising the voice of Gujarat’s citizens against corruption and political suppression. The BJP has tried to instill fear, but the people are aware of their misdeeds,” Sorathia added.

He also appealed to citizens: “This is an opportunity to break the BJP’s cycle of corruption. In this election, let the people use the broom to show BJP their true place. The AAP Gujarat election battle is a fight for justice, transparency, and democracy in the state.”
