AAP Gujarat Anti-Liquor Campaign: Priyanka Kakkar Condemns BJP Over Illegal Alcohol Trade

Priyanka Kakkar Criticizes BJP Leaders, Supports AAP Worker Dr. Kainaat Ansari in Anti-Liquor Campaign Across Gujarat

Ahmedabad/Kutch : AAP national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar held a press conference in Delhi, addressing the growing concern over illegal alcohol trade in Gujarat. Kakkar condemned the recent arrest of a dedicated AAP worker, Dr. Kainaat Ansari, who had repeatedly filed complaints against unlawful liquor operations in Kutch but was instead jailed for exposing the issue.

Speaking at the event, Priyanka Kakkar stated that the AAP Gujarat Anti-Liquor Campaign has consistently highlighted illegal liquor operations worth over ₹40,000 crore in the state. She accused BJP leaders and ministers of being complicit in the unlawful trade, which allows bootleggers and liquor mafias to operate freely while honest whistleblowers face arrests.

“The Gujarat BJP government arrests AAP workers who expose illegal alcohol dens, but ministers and BJP leaders involved in this corrupt trade remain untouched,” Kakkar said. “Once the AAP forms the government in Gujarat, every minister and leader involved in this illicit liquor business will face legal action.”

Priyanka Kakkar drew parallels with Punjab, where the AAP government has successfully taken strict action against over 50,000 individuals involved in illegal alcohol distribution. She emphasized that the AAP Gujarat Anti-Liquor Campaign will adopt the same zero-tolerance approach to eradicate bootlegging networks and ensure public safety.

Dr. Kainaat Ansari, the former Kutch district president, had lodged over 50 complaints with Gandhidham police regarding illegal liquor sales. When no action was taken, she collaborated with the local public to conduct raids and record videos exposing the illegal activities. These videos went viral, causing discomfort for the state BJP government. However, no action was taken against the accused bootleggers, while Dr. Ansari was arrested.

Priyanka Kakkar further added, “Our workers will not be intimidated by BJP’s attempts to silence them. Selling and consuming alcohol illegally in Bapu’s Gujarat is a serious crime, and the BJP must act against the real culprits instead of punishing honest citizens.”

The AAP Gujarat Anti-Liquor Campaign aims to protect citizens, uphold the law, and ensure that illegal alcohol operations in Gujarat are completely dismantled once AAP takes charge of the state government.
