AAP Gujarat chief Isudan Gadhvi exposes BJP voter list tampering and promises strong candidates for upcoming local body elections.
Ahead of the upcoming municipal elections, a review meeting was held in Surat under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Gujarat State President Isudan Gadhvi and South Zone President Ram Dhaduk. Before the meeting began, AAP leaders, including Isudan Gadhvi and other office-bearers, paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by lighting lamps and offering flowers at his statue.
During the meeting, AAP leader Isudan Gadhvi launched a sharp attack on the BJP, stating that elections will be held in the next two to three months, and the Aam Aadmi Party will contest them strongly. He added that the Election Commission has prepared the SIR draft, in which the names of 7,373,000 citizens have been removed. “Our team is researching this draft. Today, I received two to three issues, and we have reviewed each assembly to find major irregularities in the SIR. Currently, we have highlighted one assembly’s details, and soon we will reveal others as well. I want to tell the people of Gujarat that the upcoming municipal, taluka, and district panchayat elections are near. BJP has removed many voters’ names or tampered with them, and we will make this information public,” he said.

Regarding the SIR issue, Isudan Gadhvi revealed a major scam by the BJP. For example, in the Maninagar Assembly constituency, the voter is Manjulaben Gohil, husband Javerbhai Gohil, house number 1, age 66. In the same house, Mukesh Prajapati (father Sonaji Prajapati) and Sanju Kushwah (husband Brij Kumar Kushwah) are also listed. He questioned, “How is this possible? How can people from different castes reside in the same house?” He further stated that 7.3 million citizens’ names have been removed, some of whom may be deceased or duplicates, but for those removed by mistake, AAP has formed a 20,000-member BLA-2 team. Citizens whose names are missing from the voter list can contact AAP. A helpline number has also been provided. AAP will ensure that such names are re-registered in the voter list. BJP’s tampering has added excessive names and canceled many, with examples such as Pradeep Verma and Harish Gohel listed in house number 1. This information is publicly available online, and AAP is verifying it and checking other assembly constituencies as well.
Isudan Gadhvi also addressed infrastructure and environmental issues, saying that during his three-day tour, he saw that people are struggling with poor roads in Surat, Valsad, Vapi, and Umargam. “Your rule has lasted 30 years—the municipal corporations, taluka panchayats, district panchayats, state and central governments are all BJP-led. Wealth earned by industrialists goes to BJP leaders, and the public suffers in pollution. Pollution in Surat and other cities has reached dangerous levels. Dust storms, severe air pollution, and health hazards are affecting your children. Ministers and MLAs are present here, but they have no concern for public health. I want to tell the people of Gujarat and Surat that you voted for BJP, and they have decided to harm you. If this level of pollution continues for the next five to seven years, your children may be born with disabilities. What are MPs and MLAs doing? Is this why you elected them? Ministers cannot reduce pollution. Are BJP ministers only interested in making money?” he asked.

Isudan Gadhvi further stated that in the upcoming municipal, taluka, and district panchayat elections, AAP will field strong candidates for all seats. The candidate selection process will begin within the next 15 days, and committees for the process will be announced. Following this, inspectors will visit the constituencies. He added that during his current tour, several small and large meetings were held. In the last two months, around 10,000 meetings were conducted in neighborhoods and villages. Mega campaigns were held over the weekend, and 1,200 gatherings have been planned. With a focus on public issues, AAP is preparing to contest the elections strongly.
