Delhi State President of Aam Aadmi Party, Saurabh Bharadwaj, strongly reacted to the Malviya Nagar fire tragedy during a press conference, raising concerns over delay in emergency response and alleged mismanagement by authorities.

Speaking on the incident, Saurabh Bhardwaj on Malviya Nagar fire tragedy said that the fire station located in Geetanjali, behind the police station, is just around three minutes away from the spot where the fire broke out. Despite this proximity, fire tenders reportedly reached the site after a delay of about 75 to 90 minutes.

In his statement, Saurabh Bhardwaj on Malviya Nagar fire tragedy alleged that out of the two fire trucks that arrived, one was empty while only one had water. He questioned the preparedness and efficiency of the emergency response system in the capital.

Bhardwaj highlights public rescue efforts
He also pointed out that when official help was delayed, local residents stepped in to rescue people. According to Saurabh Bhardwaj on Malviya Nagar fire tragedy, people placed mattresses to save those who were forced to jump from windows and rooftops to escape the fire.
