New Delhi – AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh blames Modi government for the ongoing India gas crisis, which has left millions of households struggling to access LPG cylinders and essential energy supplies. Singh took to X to highlight the administrative failures, misinformation, and corporate favoritism that he says have worsened the situation.
According to Singh, the India gas crisis is a direct result of policy missteps by the Modi government. He criticized the decision to align closely with the United States and Israel, which has reportedly affected India’s relationship with traditional energy partners like Iran. “The government’s foreign policy decisions have contributed to this crisis,” Singh said, reiterating that Sanjay Singh blames Modi government for creating circumstances that directly affect ordinary citizens.
Misinformation and Public Distress
Sanjay Singh blames Modi government for spreading misleading information about the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, claiming that shipments of gas are back on track. Singh pointed out that even after two ships reportedly passed, 22 vessels remain stranded, contradicting official statements. “While the government projects normalcy, citizens continue to wait in long lines for LPG cylinders,” Singh said.
भारत 2019 तक ईरान से गैस और तेल खरीदता था और इसका भुगतान रुपये में होता था और Transport खर्च भी अमेरिका से आठ गुना सस्ता पड़ता था।

Government Measures Under Scrutiny
In response to the crisis, the Modi government passed an extra budget of ₹57,000 crore, which Singh claims is insufficient to address the hardships caused by the India gas crisis. He questioned whether corporate favoritism, particularly in favor of industrialists, has influenced policy decisions. Singh emphasized that Sanjay Singh blames Modi government for prioritizing political and corporate interests over public welfare.

Call for Accountability and Action
Sanjay Singh blames Modi government for ignoring the struggles of citizens, highlighting the impact on families, restaurants, hotels, and hostels forced to shut down due to lack of gas. He called for urgent measures to regulate LPG distribution, prevent black-market sales, and ensure that the public receives accurate information.
“The people of India deserve honesty and action, not political theatrics,” Singh stated. “Sanjay Singh blames Modi government for this crisis and urges immediate steps to restore energy supplies and public trust.”
The India gas crisis continues to affect millions across the country, and Singh’s visit to the public forums and statements are aimed at pressuring the government to act decisively and transparently.
