Delhi : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sharply criticized Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta following the murder of Racha Yadav in broad daylight in the ward where Ms. Gupta once served as a councilor and from the assembly constituency she represents as MLA.

AAP leaders condemned the Chief Minister for not visiting the grieving family or publicly addressing the incident, calling it a serious lapse in leadership and empathy. “Does CM Rekha Gupta realize her responsibilities?” asked an AAP spokesperson. “This is a heinous crime against a woman, and yet the Chief Minister has not taken the time to meet the family or provide reassurance to the community.”

The murder of Racha Yadav has sparked outrage among residents and political circles alike, highlighting concerns over women’s safety and administrative inaction in Delhi. Local citizens expressed shock that such a violent act occurred in broad daylight, yet no immediate response was visible from the state’s top leadership.

AAP emphasized that as a woman and a leader, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta should have shown solidarity with the victims and taken urgent steps to ensure justice and enhanced security in her constituency. “Such incidents demand immediate action and public accountability. Silence from the highest office sends the wrong message,” the party added.

Residents of the area called for swift police action and reassurances from the government to prevent further violence against women. The AAP vowed to continue highlighting the government’s failure in addressing public safety and ensuring timely intervention in such cases.

No official statement has been released yet by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta regarding the murder or the concerns raised by AAP.
